“Chair-ity” for Habitat 

The Portage County Youth Advisory Committee (YAC), a group which encourages and facilitates youth volunteerism in Portage County, presented their second annual “Chair-ity” Auction.  YAC acquires gently used chairs in need of TLC from donations and rummage sales.  The chairs were then artistically and creatively painted, and were placed on display at the Charles M. White Library in a silent auction.  The bidding ran February 3 – 17^th. The winning bidders were presented with their chairs on February 21^st at 6:30 at the library.  Between last year and this year YAC donated over one thousand dollars to Central Wisconsin Habitat for Humanity (CWHfH). 

CWHfH thanks the Youth Advisory Committee and their advisors.  This group is a shining example of the dedication and community involvement that is evident in our youth today.  And our thanks to all of you that supported YAC by bidding on the chairs.
